This morning I received through the post, all the way from Skipton, a 'Well Wishing Card' from my friend Clare, together with two Quilting Arts Magazines. I feel truly blessed!
Thank you for this beautiful piece of layered Boro stitching.....where each piece of fabric is special, linen from an old vestment/sheet and silk from a previous commission and of course all the other different snippets of fabric...beautifully stitched together to form a whole piece.
Keep on stitching...Jillx

made by Helen.
I've received some beautiful flowers and now this dear little bird flew through my letter box this morning - it did the trick - I am now smiling. So fortunate to have such caring family and friends...
Now back to the dentist and the doc! It's just one of those weeks....next week will be wonderful...fingers crossed!

Look at these tiny Pixie Boots, so beautifully stitched and embellished by my friend Trish Zachariah. I absolutely love them and had to share them with everyone.

Clare's Therapy Cloth has now been made into a cushion. Using woven fabric and then Kantha stitched this is certainly a wonderful cushion and well worth sharing with everyone.

On this small wall hanging I've used tiny scraps of lace and cotton fabric with buttons and stitch added....the hanging mechanism is yet to be added. The script button was bought from Sheena Spacey who makes the most wonderful ceramics and other buttons were found from my mother's button box. Many of the lace snippets were sent to me by my friend Clare.
I've called this piece 'One, two buckle my Shoe' - based on the origin of the nursery rhyme which stems from lacemaking - apparently!?
Happy Stitching everyone - Jill
