Beneath the Waves

Posted by jilltextileart on May 24, 2012 at 4:05 PM

Today I visited St Paul's in Chesthunt to spend a day with Year Five pupils. They undertook many techniques in their creative artworks with the theme Beneath the Waves...some wonderful creatures and underwater plants were created by using rug hooking/cording/fringing/knitted wire/metal embossing/wrapping plus embellishing their work with beads/sequins and buttons...a very creative day.

Those children sure enjoyed their day with you Jill - and those colours are very cooling on a very hot day. This particular piece of artwork really has the movement of the underwater waves.
